FAQ Q: Why are we running this course? A: We believe all men are able to sing. In Scotland there seem to be cultural barriers that inhibit men from singing. In Wales with a population smaller than Scotland there are over 140 male voice singing groups. In Scotland there seems to be less than a dozen. We in our small way are trying to redress that balance. Q: What steps do you take to protect minors? A: We take child protection very seriously as we are anxious to encourage young men to take part in this course. We have adopted the Child Protection Policy as set out by the British Association of Barbershop Singers, and we have an accredited Child Protection Officer. Q: What do I have to bring to the Course? A: Nothing, just your voice. Q: How much does it cost? A: Nothing. the course is absolutely free. Q: Do I have to be able to read music? A: No! The teaching methods we use means that the need to read music is not necessary. Q: And afterwards…? A:What you do with your new found skills is up to you. However we are offering a continuation course called a ”Song For Christmas”.  We would be delighted if you would join us in learning some Christmas songs which we will perform at various opportunities and locations in Edinburgh. Of course, there is also the possibility of joining us at the Rolling Hills Chorus
